    In this video the creator went over many features and tools. I learned that control N creates a new document and control J duplicates a layer. I learned how to use the eyedropper tool, which will be useful if I ever need to exactly match a color. The video also showed how to change the size of a shape while keeping all sides the same.

In this video I learned about pathfinder and typography. The video showed how to combine shapes using pathfinder. The video also showed how to create more than one workspace if you run out of room while working. I think typography will be very useful during the calligram project because we will be using the words from our letters.

This video showed me useful shortcuts and how to find them. If you hover over the icon in the left column they should appear right next to the name. This feature and shortcuts will be useful to me during the next assignments using illustrator because it will make the process go faster and I won't have to spend too much time on clicking the right tools.

Somewhere

     I chose to place myself hovering over the moon because it is somewhere I've never been and will likely never go. The hardest part of this project was definitely adding the adjustment layers and trying to create a shadow that makes it look like I was floating. In order to do that, I turned down the brightness and added a drop shadow. For the drop shadow, I rotated it 90 degrees in order to make it below my feet then I adjusted the distance, size, and spread. The easiest part was probably masking myself out of the original picture. I used the quick selection tool and then a layer mask to cut myself out.

Autoscopy

  For my autoscopy, I did my face in front of a thunderstorm with flowers in the sky. I made space spill from my face as well. I used thunder and violets because they've been incorporated in almost all of the rest of my projects and I wanted to include them. The hardest part of this project was trying to mask everything out. The easiest part was adding layers and effects to make everything look more cohesive.

Business Cards

      For my business cards, I chose each color scheme because I wanted it to match with the logos. I also wanted to make the cards relatively minimalistic in order to not draw attention away from the logo itself. The most difficult part of this project was definitely coming up with the designs and then trying to create them on InDesign. I think the easiest part was the set up and choosing which font to use as well as the placement of the text.
